I have a serious problem with this question. I hate the fact that people exaggerate in the hopes of getting over on you.
The only thing that I personally exaggerate is jokes. I believe you have to make the truth "Stretch" a little to make things funnier.
But when it comes to exaggerating for self-gain, thats not right and it is lying.
Just ask yourself, "Why is he/she stretching out the truth the way that they are.....what is their purpose?"
Personally I think its lying, and I dont like it when others do it to me.

I think it's a form of lying. In my job if someone exaggerates a symptom and it's not really THAT bad, it's lying.

not telling the truth is the same as lying. Does not matter how you do it, it's still lying. Either you tell the truth or you don't. That is why it is called the truth. Its the difference in men and boys, or girls and women. The Bible says " The truth shall set you free ". So make sure that you do not tell anything else but the truth.
Sometimes it hurts to thell the truth, but it is far worse to tell lies. As lies will catch up with you.
It will cause more pain that your dare to think.

Yes. You must tell the truth, the whole truth and NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH. Exaggerating is adding something to the truth outside of the truth.

Optical fantasy? some human beings stay in a worldwide we are actually not that happy with and tend to glimpse opportunities others do no longer see. This if no longer controlled may bring about exaggeration.

My sister retired from work with no pension after 35 years at the same job. She said that it comes and goes directly into the bank as she arranged but she never cashes a check and always takes hand outs from relatives.
My sister said that she didnt want a retirement party and that is why no one ever called her, sent her a card, or sent a gift.
My sister says that people she worked with are still her friends but they never call her or write just email
My sister gets and receives email from people we know who have no computer.
What do you think?

i wouldn't call it lying exactly. when you exaggerate you usually give over emphasis to something so when people hear it they usually take it as it is and comprehend it based on just how you say it. its kinda like stretching the truth.
