The work has already been completed but can you go after their bond for misrepresentation or unfair business practice? They lied.

Contact a lawyer, but I doubt you can do anything now, especially if the work is done to your specifications. We were just recently wronged by our contractor. He was over due on the time, over budget , and just as crooked as you can get. We fired him and didn't pay his last invoice. He sued us and in the end we had to settle on that last invoice halfway. When they're sneaky, they know how to get around the system. Ya, by the way, we were only 50% done on top of it. What a nightmare!

You can sue anybody for anything.
The question is - will a lawyer take your case? And what are your damages or losses?
If you had to pay medical costs from your homeowner's insurance or out of your pocket for injuries by one of the contractor's workers, then those are your damages. Is there anthing else?
And if the contractor didn't pay for the workers' comp insurance and bonding, what makes you think he will have enough to pay you if you win a lawsuit? How would you collect?
If you are satisfied with the job and workmanship, then live with it. You could file a complaint with your state's department that licenses contractors.

I'd search for contractor licensing or regulation in your state on Google. Most have some rules...you should be able to consult with an attorney the first time for free. good luck.
