Honeymoon Smack-down!!??

I would like to know if anyone out there has ever hit or beat up on thier partner out there. If so then why, and would you ever do it again?

My ex used to beat the living crap out of me. When I had enough of it and I was heading toward to door he blocked me off. Yes I had enough anger in me to beat the heck out of him and I did it. Payback for all of the things of mine he broke, for all of the bruises he ever made, for all of the hurtful words he ever said to me... payback. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned and it had built up and built up. He left the door at that point and I was able to walk out it. I never looked back either. No- I would never do it again it was an act of self defense really and I had to get out that door. My husband now would never dream of hitting me so I doubt I will ever have the need to defend myself in such a way again. But no I don't regret it.

A man who beats a woman is "not a man" he is a fool and a scared child in side ..a sicko !! He would not dare strike another man only women. My first husband nearly killed me, I took four years of brutal abuse than ran for "my life" Thank God I had no children to witness this! I later educated myself on why I took it and I dare any misogynist (woman hater) to even call me the B_ word or abuse me in any shape form or fashion. I am not a violant person but I will now stand up for myself and have learned to defend myself and take pride in who I am.

My husband has never laid a hand on me nor I on him. My alcholic uncle used to beat up his wife terribly for many years. We never understood why she took and and didn't leave him. I vowed as a young child that I would NEVER let a man hit on me and I never have.

My ex used to beat me. I have never hit a boyfriend though and don't plan on it.
