If your ears are FULLY healed, it should not sting. Often the stinging is a sign that something is not entirely correct, so be careful. Make sure you've worn the other jewelry for at least 8 weeks before you change it. It may be difficult the first few times you change the earrings as far as getting them in and out with ease, but it will be second nature soon enough
Just be sure to clean your ears and earrings before you put them in. Use latex gloves if you need a better grip. Once the earrings are in, clean your ears again and if you experience any pain or troublesome take some Motrin and as a mom or well trusted friend to help you get the earring in. Worst case if you go to a piercer to help you, but it won't be that hard.

It really doesn't hurt as long as you keep it clean and turn the stud while it's healing. Make sure that it's not irritated when you go to change it. Also the piercing studs have backs that are almost impossible to remove so you will want to have someone else there to help you. After the back is off, ask them to check and remove any build up there might be on the post where it meets the back of your ear. This is usually where the pain comes from, pulling the build up (which makes the post thicker) through the piercing. You may want to check with your Dr. A lot of them will take care of this for you.

make sure you've left your first earrings in for the entire time recommended by you piercer (usually about 6-8 weeks) or even longer. in this time make sure you twist the earrings every so often because this prevents your skin tissue from clinging to your earring, thus making it harder to put a new set of earrings in. when its time to change them you might feel a little pinch which is just the new earrings poking through your skin tissue that may have been trying to close together in the time that you had no earrings in. but usually, no pain is involved. just make sure you change them as quick as possible and never leave your ears without earrings inside them for at least 6 months afterwards to prevent them from closing.
hope this helps!

It doesnt if you give it 2 -3 weeks ot heal and you have taken good care of it.
It does a little if you take it out abruptly before it has healed and without precaution
It does a lot if you do it in a day or two .. It may bleed too
Be brave and allow 2-3 weeks before you think of taking it off or leaving it there.
