Sorta! Keep it on a flat hard surface (not carpet!) If you do that it won't overheat. Do not stand it up on it's end it will screw it up! And don't buy a cooling system because most of them make you have to stand the system on end, and the few that don't you have to run the power cord through them and that will screw the system up too! (oh, and I learned don't run the vacum cleaner while the system is on. Just trust me on this one!)

Yeah it gets over heated if you don't put it somewhere where it's open. make sure you put the xbox 360 console in an open area. They also made a cooler for the 360 so if your 360 still gets hot, you could get a cooler for only 20 bucks and you won't have that problem anymore.
