I have switched my son from one cows based formula to another (just a different brand). Both are thickened (he has reflux), but the one I changed to was for sensitive tummies. He was 8 weeks old when I switched him. It has been a week, and he still has diarrhoea. How long is it normal to last? Thanks in advanced for the feedback.

The consistency is like diarrhoea, he is not actually pooing all day long, only about 2 day, but has a lot of skid marks too. And no, I will not use a wet nurse, and nor can I breastfeed, and nor would I want to (no offence to those who do).

My son had an upset tummy for about 48 hours after switching from Enfamil to Carnation... its normal to have an adverse reaction.. I would call his doctor since it has been a whole week, and see if they have any advice. Thats quite a long time to have diarrhea, and he could be losing alot of fluids

It's not uncommon to have a reaction to a new formula, but being that young and having diarrhea for a week or more you should talk to his dr. because that's not normal and could turn into a serious problem. Good Luck!

in the experience that your very youthful doggy is having diarrhea, you could desire to have him examined via your veterinarian. There are quite a few parasites and puppyhood illnesses which could bring about diarrhea so which you mustn't purely assume that this is from weaning, incredibly in case you have no longer replaced the form of nutrition he became getting ahead of weaning (apart from nursing). this is a good theory to have a sparkling doggy or kitten examined via a vet regardless of if or no longer you spot any matters.

Take him to his ped. that is way to long, it should be no more than 48 hours. 8 weeks old & have diarreaha for any thing over 2 days is way to much for his liitle body.

i'm sure you've considered this, but did you try breast milk? it makes no diarhea ever b/c it's natural plus it's full of vitamins and self-defense immune properties that the mother gives to the child. if you can't breast feed consider looking into an old-fashioned wet nurse.
