It truly depends on the cause of the pain. What joint is it? Are you overdoing some activity that is straining the joint? Have you been checked for arthritis? Have you had an injury at that location? If none of these are a problem, consider taking a supplement such as "Move Free" that contains condroitin and other proven substances to help with joint health.

I have arthritis, particularly in both knees. My doctor recommended I buy Arthro Aid Direct, from the health shop, its a cream and you massage it on the affected area once daily. Doesnt smell, contains glucosamine, and shark cartilage. I have been using it for 2 years now , and it eases the pain and movement a lot, dont know what I would be like without it. , too scared to try. Recently Doc also recommended Fish Oil. Not the capsules but liquid. Its cheaper, more effective than capsules, dose once daily only. Not unpleasant to take if you follow directions on the bottle. Only been taking this for l week, so see how I go. My doctor is THE best, so I am sure it'll be effective. Good luck

After taking a very hot bath and/or shower, rub some warm peppermint oil over the sore joint.
I hear condroiten works well too, but have never tried it.
I am all about the essential oils. They work.
