Yup, because you skipped your placebos. You are experiencing what is commonly called "break through bleeding" it is a side effect of birth control pills. Break through bleeding is what they call it when you bleed while taking active pills. It's pretty normal. If it doesn't let up next month, then talk to your doctor. You might have to switch to another brand of birth control that works better for your body. Don't worry though, it's not likely that your pills are ineffective because of this! You are still protected.

actually, light bleeding occurs when starting the pill. it happened to me when i went on the pill. but when my doctor asked me if i was taking my pill at the same time every day, and i told her no, she said that's why i was having spotting. so i started taking my pill at the same time every day and the spotting stopped. but some spotting is normal when first going on the pill.
and to tell you something I learned in my psychology class, Placebos are a fake drug, nothing but a sugar pill basically. So taking a placebo, and your reaction to it, is all YOU, not the drug itself.

Yes, it's breakthrough bleeding and it may continue until after you finish the placebos for this pack or it could stop at anytime. It's totally normal.

This is common with the pill, just follow your doctors advice. Nothing to worry about.
