its easier if you sit on the toilet to do it & you hav to put it up as far as possible (so yes your finger needs to go up there too) after you've inserted it & walked arouned you shouldnt be able to feel it! if so go into the loo again & re position it! if thats to hard you can always try the tampons that come with an inserter!(its just a long piece of cardboard you place up there then push the end & the tampon disperses itsself) best of luck lol xox

First you should try a very small tampon. Light or teen for example. After you get the hang of putting those in then go for the correct absobaacnry. Try it differnt ways and stick with the one that's most comfortable for you. You can stand up and stick it in then with your fingers on one hand hold yourself open and use the other hand to push it up then pull out all the cardboard or plastic. You could also do the same thing sitting on the toilet or standing with one leg on the tub ( be careful don't fall). PS: I have put a tampon in since I was 13 and I am now 20 and I have never had to put my finger up there. That's just gross, so whoever told you that may not know how to put in a tampon. Which there is no correct way it's whatever is best for you but trust me there is no need to have to fingerpaint.

Personally, that 45 degree angle crap drives me i just put it in the way i feel comphy, and i have yet to get tss, just take the tampon and the insertion end just angle it very slightly towards you or you can squat dow (kinda angles you a little ) and put it in what seems to be straight, dont worry too much, you will know what you are doing once you start it...if it feels wrong just take it out and try again (it took me at least 6 tries lol)

make sure you get the plastic applicators, it makes it way easier. plus, u have to put it in on a day where ur flow is kind of heavy at first, untill u get used to it. then, u really do have to relax, i know everyone says it, and its hard, but u have to try really hard to just not tense up. then poke around a bit till u find the hoel and push the applicator in untill ur fingers touch u. if u cant find it, use a mirror or somthing. dont worry to much about the angle, once u find the spot it will guide itself basically. then push the other end of the applicator in. try and get it in as far as possible, the farther up, the less u will feel it, and dont worry it cant get lost inside u, theres no where for it to go. then, pull the applicator out, and WALLA!!! ur done and free of stinky pads! good luck!

hey, the first few times i also had a bit of trouble inserting one, but now, trust me, i couldn't cope without them! Wjat i do is i sit on the toilet and u have to be relaxed. Make sure u have clean hands, take the tampon in one hand (try a small one to start off with) and with the other hand seperate ur vagina, then slowly insert it, pushing it almost in the direction of your back. u have to put it quite high, so u do have to put your finger up there!
Just relax....u'll thank urself after a while!

If you are pretty young and you were not taugh yet, you have a vaginal opening other than the one you pee out of. Just lay down relax and use a had mirror to see. Slide your finger down your lips and at the bottom push in and there is a hole. After you figure out that a tampon should be cake

Some tampons have an applicator , I believe Tampax is one brand, when starting to use tampons its easier to use one that has an applicator included.
Try stay relaxed when inserting it and try laying down on your bed, breath out as it slides in but most importantly...relax.

There are detailed instructions with diagrams in the box. Follow it exactly and made sure you're not too dry inside as that makes it more difficult to get in. Once you get it in, you shouldn't really "feel" it. If it is uncomfortable, it is not in properly. It takes a little practice.

when you buy tampons there is an insert that will show you and tell you how to do it.... basically you use your fingers to open up the area a bit and then just stick it in there and push it in... good luck!!!
