No. I used to be a cashier at Wal-Mart, and I can tell you that some people have gotten away with it, but many more have been caught. I know of at least four former cashiers who got caught. It cost them their jobs and who knows what else was done to them. We were never told, but I am sure charges were pressed.

accidently! I had a case of water in the bottom of my cart and forgot all about it.. the checker didn't notice it.. went out the door.. I stole $3.50 in water!! I'm so bad...
