I'm making mashed potatoes, orange scented green beans, okra and tomatoes, buttered baby carrots, and a cold Italian pasta salad.

Besides the annual favorite of Green Bean Casserole... my Grandma used to make an awesome (1) potato & cheese casserole & (2) an egg & turkey sausage dish... it may not sound appetizing but, it is wonderful!!! ... it's like a quesch without the crust & left-overs are almost better than fresh from the oven!! If interested I can send you the recipe(s).

Cornbread simple steamed veggies are good too!

One of my favorites is Carrots. Cauliflower, Broccoli, and cheese.
You cook the veggies until they are melt in your mouth soft and add your favorite cheese. I believe that my aunt makes it with either Velveeta or Cheddar.
