I received my scores yesterday, and I got a composite score of 28. It was the first time I've taken it, so I'm not too sure about what to do next. Should I take it again in February or just ride with the 28. I'm hoping to get full tuition to the University of Central Arkansas. Is a 28 good enough?

I would take it again. 28 is probably more than fine for only the Univ. of Central Arkansas, but why not see what you can get with a little more practice? Are you applying to more selective schools also? Personally, I'd try for a 30/31+. You're close.. may as well take it full-fledged.

I believe a 26-30 is Highly Selective Schools
My teacher told the story of a guy with a 22, good grades, good essay
Another guy with a 27, good grades, horrible essay

Guess who got in? The 22!

28 is a good score work on your essay and grades!
They look at that too!
Especially extra curricular activities

I would take the ACT again. Think about it you know the test, you know what kind of questions are asked, and what it's like to take the test. You should make a better score but if you don't just concertrate on the first score. (before you take the test I suggest you pick up The ACT For Dummies. It helped me, and is a good study guide)

I wouldn't waste your money. I got a 25 and had awesome scholarships. I guess it all depends on how good of a gpa you have. That often holds as much if not more weight than the ACT score.

LOL Honey, 28 is a HIGH score. You have nothing to worry about at all. If you want to improve your score, you can take it again.

I would take it again if I were you. You can take it a max of 2 times before they try counting it against you.
