i just received an email with an attached file on excel, i dnt have microsoft excel installed on the computer, what can i do, its urgent! plzzzzz help me!!!!!

i cnt download large files as my internet connection keeps shuting off every half an hour.

The best advice is that download some other spread sheet and try if you can open it in there. Here is the link to OenOffice, a free substitute to MS-Office and it also includes a spreadsheet, a word processor, a presentation application and a database. See if the file opens in OpenOffice's spreadsheet. The worse part is that the download is 93 MB and there is a good chance that OpenOffice does not support MS-Office extensions. So, :-(.

Copy the file into a floppy, CD, USB drive and approach a friend who has excel... tell him/her its very important..
For future sake try to get Microsoft Office.... not those free bluffs around.

Ask the sender to email it in .txt format then notepad or wordpad will read it.

Get excel, not much else to do.
