I remember many years ago, before the age of 6 when we lived in the country that my dad, grandfather and uncles would hunt pheasants for dinner.
I loved having all my family around. Most are gone now and I miss them very much. But, I am very thankful I have memories of the people I loved.

Yes my family all got together when I was growing up, and we'd celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas with big meals of delicous, much-anticipated food that had been in preparation for days. I would sit back and watch during those times and enjoy seeing the whole scene. But I never imagined it would end.
When my grandmother passed away in 1977, we still got together, but some had extended families by then and gradually the times were not as I remembered them when my "Goo-Goo " was there.
We still get together to celebrate and I think that doing this is very important to have memories and family structure. We thank God at Thanksgiving and we celebrate Jesus at Christmas.
Not a bad place to be in this strange world.

Yes, Watching it's Thanksgiving Charlie Brown, while the turkey is cooking in the kitchen and all the smells of aroma and spice filling the air, creating the mood. Listen to the tune playing at the end of that show, it's something for the ages. It'll take you into a trance. Or me atleast. Before.

Invite a memorable person to your Thanksgiving dinner. It helps believe me. Also booze is a plus.

Yes I have lost all. home, friends, family.my health. but I do have my precious memory's. thank God for them.May God Bless You.
