i thought it was always the THIRD thursday

its actually earlier than usual. its the 4th thursday , and its only the 23rd day of the month. The earliest it ever is is the 22nd, and the latest the 28th.....

It's not late.... it's on the fourth Thursday in November every year. If the first Thursday is the 1st, then Thanksgiving will be on the 22nd. That the earliest it can be.

it is unless the first of the month falls on or after wednesday as well.
