with the robot mouse the theory is to use the right hand rule.
3 tries at the maze.
Mouse alway drags a feeler along the right side of the maze wall, in theory you will always get to the center after going thru all the dead ends.
The mouse chip remembers to the dead ends and removes the moves from the memory so it runs fastere next time.
Third time the mouse should not enter any dead ends (blind spots) and take the shortest path to the center. (cheese)
Works in theory - kind of hard to program the mouse.
I know one team that made a mouse that kept smashing down the walls. The feeler wire was not working too well and the motor was a little too strong.

Use more than 1 mouse all same gender ( male is best) and make the cheese big enough for the mice to be able to smell at the end
