The word "sin" refers to a violation of Biblical Law. As such, Lesbian activity is a sin, since the Bible forbids all forms of non-procreative sex. The fact that it is a sin does not means it's wrong, just that it is forbidden, like eating pork. If you are not an adherent of a faith based on the Bible, then I don't see why Biblical Law would matter to you, I'm Pagan myself, and our faith has no injunction against either same sex activity or same sex marriage. Anthropologically, homosexual has been the norm rather than the exception over half of all human cultures, some sources put it as high as 70%, though I question that myself. My experience is the most people, outside the fundamentalists, have an attitude of live and let live. After all, mutually enjoyable activities between consenting adults in the privacy of their own home is nobody Else's business, true?

I do believe it is a sin [DON'T QUIT READING NOW. I'm NOT preaching], based on my Christian upbringing. But no one should be condemned because they believe in something different, because of their sexual orientation, or any other reason.

But sin is sin, whether we like it or not. Jesus Christ did indeed die for our sins, which are all equal. Lying to your mom about taking the trash out and being in a lesbian relationship are basically both the same thing, in the eyes of God with sin.

I have friends that are gay (no lesbian friends, though...don't know any) and I love them for who they are. They are some of the most amazing people I have ever met and their friendship encourages me on a daily basis. I would hate for these people to be looked down on because of their own beliefs.

Gay, Lesbian, Bi, Straight, White, Black, Mexican, Asian, Prep, Goth, Emo, Skater, Nerd...whatever happened to the word HUMAN. We are all HUMANBEINGS and we should be treated equally no matter what.

Thomas Jefferson once said, “We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal...”

It's true. Some people are very openly against gay marriage, but love is love.

If you are truly a "Christian" you'd know that not once is a committed, loving homosexual relationship EVER condemed or exhaulted. They're never discussed at all. Not once.

Sure, in the OLD Testiment is says in Leviticus 20:13 "Do not lie with a man as you would a woman, it is an abomination." But first off that's a Levitical/Mosaic Law and as Christians we are not bound to those laws. Christ fofiled the propheses and forgave us our sins, now and forever. Christ left us with only one mandate:
"LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF."

That was it, no condemnation of loving relationships, no threats of hell fire or brimstone. Just a lasting message of love, kindness, tolerance and forgiveness.

Sure, you'll hear all this crap about "God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve."
Think for a moment. If we are truly all God's children then He actually did make Adam and Steve, and Lilli, and Martha, and Pedro, and Karen ...etc.

Then you'll get the argument of: "If everyone was gay then we'd be extinct."
Please, let's use a little rational thought here.
The likelihood of that happening is about as likely as the Earth stopping on it's axis and suddenly turning in the opposite direction. NOT HARDLY.

We're merely human beings, sinful and imperfect. We all make mistakes, but LOVE is never wrong.
A loving person is forgiven as a member of God's family.

Only hate and condemnation will put you on the path of eternal damnation. Forgive yourself, love yourself, accept yourself for who you are, who God Created you to be, no matter what that is...and put it to good use, to spread love, kindness and tolerance.

Try Lesbian first off for spelling. It depends on the way you look at it and a persons beliefs. Jesus Christ died on the cross. For our sins past present and future, he defeated satan that day but that doesn't mean go out and run wild and sin. A true believer in Jesus Christ, no matter what race sexual preference has taken him into there heart can be forgiven. No human being on earth can judge a sinner unless they are sin free. In my beliefs yes it is a sin. However scientifically I believe somethings go wrong at birth and people maybe homosexual at birth. My difficulty comes from growing up with a person who was born with both male and female organs. That kind of makes religion complicted at that point then where does sin come in at that persons life? Something to ponder on. Imagine growing up with this person k-6 until they put this person in special classes away from the general population.

Dont be misguided by society. The bible was translated wrong, the bible says "god condemns homosexuals" The word homosexuality was taken as a modern day word and no one took into account on which the time period the bible was written. Homosexuality back then actually refers to prostitution, bestality, incest, and orgys, not gays, lesbians, bi. Therefore Being lesbian is not a sin. Its even common sense, ask yourself, would god judge you only by who you have sex with? Would god judge you because you have sex with the same sex or would god judge you for the love in your heart, the happiness you create, the smiles you put on peoples faces, the emotions you feel, the personalities you have. God will not send you to hell, or punish you because of your sexual orientation.

hope this helps!!!

Absolutely not, since sin is a self constructed concept. What is a sin to one, is perfectly ok with another. Just be happy with who you are and enjoy your life.

If you believe in Christanity:
I believe it is a sin.
Why do you think god put Adam and Eve here. Its not like God put Tom and Bill here or Jill and Jane. Why do think they took one of each sex of animals on Noahs arch? Thats the way it should be.But you could do what you want believe what you want what ever! we Live in America the land of the free! Dont try to be some thing your not you are the way you are. Maybe theres a reaskon ehy people are attracted to their own gender. the point is dont worry about being "Right" do whats right for you.
