Say I want to sell a product to make revenue for my company.... can I buy a promotial item from a place like borders and then sell it to my customers?

If Branders is a place that puts your personal logo on things like coffee cups and key chains, sure you can sell them. Look at all the stuff out there with COKE on it that people collect. You can even buy a Geico gecko if you want one. If you mean you want to buy a promotional item from another company with a logo on it not your own, ummm you might have a problem with that.
And if your talking about the cheap promo items that are given away as a way to advertise, most people would think you were really cheap if you sold it, rather than gave it, know what I mean? So, if you sell it, make it something nice with your logo on it.
