I start with the lights at the bottom already pluged in and go up. any extra can be blended in. then i put on the garland from the bottom up and then fill in the spaces with ornaments. I also have a lighted star for the top. i think most people gaze at the bottom of the tree and then look up. if the bottom is bare then its more noticeable then at the top because you can fill in with ornaments at the top

Bottom Of Christmas Tree

You always start at the top of the tree because you will be better able to judge how many more lights or how much more garland that you will need when you get to the bottom and if nothing else you can always hide any excess in the back at the bottom of the tree.

Well it goes like this. First do the lights, position the plug near the outlet so you will have it close to the outlet and able to plug in and start from there. Start winding from the bottom up, and if you have extra at the top, its okay, just wind down again! Afterwards, you can put on the decorations and balls, doesnt matter where.

Enjoy your tree! Merry early christmas!

I start the lights from the top because there is usually some extra and I wouldn't want it to be hanging down from the top of my tree. Same with the garland. I also put the star on last.

I would go with the top too since you are going to be eventually plugging everything in at the bottom. Also if you start at the top and work your way down you dont have to worry about continuously knocking things off like you would if you start at the bottom.

Start with the top because once you finish getting the lights all on the tree, you need to plug them in and its easier to reach a plug from the bottom rather than the top; because if you start them at the bottom and go up, when you finish, you will have to have a long string coming down to plug them in. Tada! =]

well we always started from the top with string lights since the topper usually needs to be plugged into electricity too it just saved adding an extension cord to the top of the tree

I would go with the top except for the star which is last doing the bottom is better last. Or just go all over that is what I do.

I start on top cause then you don't have a chance of knocking off ornaments or having extra lights on top. I start on top with lights then ornaments then garland. have fun!
