essay title page cover page numbers?

What is the MLA format for writing a title/cover page for an essay? would you incldue page numbers or not? Would that be pg. 1?

In MLA format, you are not supposed to have a title page. on google, search "Owl at Purdue" click the link and then click on MLA format. It will explain everything. also check my sources.

MLA papers don't generally need a title/cover page. See some samples at dianahacker.com/bedhandbook.

you have to switch the class and teacher around to read... Title By: name teacher class date hope this helps :)
