Most people think that water ruins paint, but it seems to be that after you paint your nails and you put them in cold water, they seem to be perfectly manicured. They sometimes even come out very hard. Does this have to do with absorbtion?

According to my wife:

Dip them in baby oil first and then place them under cold water. They dry even faster and perfect.
