Yes, it is normal. Don't lose your virginity until you are 21. For safer sex, always use condoms and do not have oral sex without wearing a condom. Abstinence is the best way to prevent STD.

I am So very Proud of you that you are still a Virgin, And NO there is nothing wrong w/you. This Is A great thing. thank about this: Look @ ALL the people who have to get checked for HIV/Aids, Because it could be a chance they may be Positive, NOT YOU, You can Honestly say with Truth fullness that YOU DON'T HAVE IT, Hell You Don't have anything, AND that would and should give you a Peace of Mind to know that You are clean. Not everyone can say that, SO Please don't be pressured into doing it before you are ready and please if you do decide to do it be sure you wear a Condom and GET W/ Another Virgin. That way you want have to worry about getting anything from her. BUT KNOW THIS It would be so much Better If you WAIT Until YOU AND the Other Female are married. You have Plenty of time for this sort of thing. STAY IN SCHOOL and Focus On Important things. If you where my son, brother, related to me period I would be so proud of you. So take care and just know Once you do have sex you will not be the same and although the urge to do it will be there unless you get with the right person and are ready you want be the same. And right now this sort of thing is for Responsible Adults. Take Care. P.S. I am 37 and I wish I was still a Virgin.

Man, when I saw the question I thought the poster was like 40. 50 years ago if you weren't a virgin at 16 you were probably on a short road to packing groceries for a living.

Nothing wrong with being a 16 year old virgin. If you still are a virgin at 25 then maybe it is time to start working on your pick-up lines, but at 16 just enjoy your life and not worry about it.

Yes, it's definitely normal. What's not normal, is our society expecting kids to not be virgins at the age of 16 or younger. Keep clean son. Wait until marriage.

You've still got a lot of your life ahead of you of course it's normal. In my personal opinion you are still too young. I'm going to be 21 in 2 months and I am still a virgin. The right time comes for everything and having to wait just makes things even more special.

It's normal as long as you feel ok about it. I think that loosing your innocense (your virginity) is a delicate issue. Virginity is a treasure that you will only share with the person that you consider deserves you. Choose someone special with whom you have strong feelings and that you're sure that the person feels the same way for you. You're very valuable and you must respect yourself and give your virginity someone important, special, a sweet and fine girl with good heart.

Listen, my room mate at college is 21 and still a virgin, a friend of mine lost it when she was 13...so really theres no right and wrong time to loose it. Theres no set time given out to society...its all up to the individual themselves....
and dont worry what you look like....do what makes you feel comfortable.

You're 16! Give it a while! Focus on your school work and stop worrying about having sex!
