I got married when I was 19. I only knew the guy for a little over a year. I know i made the right choice. I had always wanted to marry young, but never thought i would. Now i'm looking forward to working through our marriage and hopefully bringing some wonderful children into the world. I dont see any divorce in the future.

A girl I work with told me that her parents had her when they were 15 (she is now 18) and her parents are still together (now married of course.) I think that's really awesome. They got lucky, because for most people that wouldn't happen.

At 17 I personally have no interest in getting married so young. I'd like to go to college, travel a bit, and live my own life for a little while before I settle down. I do eventually want to get married, perhaps either when I'm through with college or almost done. But of course it depends on when I find the right person. I want to have my own life in order before I make a new life with someone else.

I just got married in July, I was 24. My husband was 28 at the time.

My cousin got married at 18, his bride was 16. And they are still happily married after 6 years with a beautiful daughter.

My mom was just 17 years old when she was married. My Dad was 22, and they just celebrated their 35 wedding anniversary in September.

I was 20 the first time for 17 yrs. The second time I was 40 and I made a better choice at 20 than I did at 40. This second marriage will start coming to an end the 1st of the year. I don't want to deal with it and the holidays at the same time.

Well, I'm getting married in 4 months, and I'll be 24 years old, my husband will be 29 (turning 30, two weeks later). This has become the norm... for couples to wait longer to get married than in the past, when they got married at younger ages (such as your mom). This is for several reasons... and this is my opinion, that more and more couples are co-habitating, living together before marriage, and this can help, couples are able to see if they can REALLY live together, and how they can function as a family unit before getting married.
=)

I got married when I was 25, and divorced a year later. I definitely want to get married again (and for the final time). But, next time I will definitely be much more patient, and wait to make sure I made the right choice.
