My favorite show was ER, and I realized it was "code blue" time when they killed off Robert in a ridiculous, freak, surreal, impossible helicopter crushing and, later, sent Elizabeth packing (producers claiming that she did not appeal to a younger crowd). There were earlier warning signs and slight symptoms, but I overlooked them, hoping for a full recovery. I am hoping that the most recent transplant (the addition of John Stamos) will revive the show, but we are going to have to wait. There have been too many adverse twists in the past to trust that this is more than a brief remission.

Battlestar Galactica (aka Baltarstar Galactica to those of us who love James Callis) Pushing Daisies CSI: Las Vegas Supernatural Doctor Who Burn Notice BloodTies Smallville Kyle XY Lost I like "Monk" if they don't make him act stupidly, and they do that too often unfortunately. Then, I get irritated and switch channels. I don't favor USA or TNT. Generally, I'm watching movies on the cable movie channels. I watch the Sci Fi Channel, Lifetime, and a number of others. I run a low-grade fever all of the time, so we have all sorts of fans going, mainly smaller ones, including the fan part of the air conditioner. EDIT: I thought we were to name on-air series, but I see some listing cancelled/retired ones. So, here are some favorites: The Crow: Stairway to Heaven Dark Shadows (both versions) The Man from U.N.C.L.E. Buffy the Vampire Slayer Wizards & Warriors Beauty & the Beast Star Trek (original) My So-Called Life Simon & Simon 21 Jump Street The Sentinel Highlander Surface Angel Prey V I also love anthology series such as "Twilight Zone", "Outer Limits", "Night Gallery", "Tales from the Darkside" and "Monsters".

My favourites are/were Deadwood and Carnivale - they 'jumped the shark' when HBO cut them in thier prime as the network felt they could no longer afford to produce them. Both were fantastic examples of the capabilities of modern television - high production values, magnificent scripting and brilliant cinematography... It not just my contention that it was a loss to the industry when both shows were axed in thier prime.

Moonlighting and Northern Exposure were favorites when they were in production. Both went downhill after the main characters had sex. The loss of sexual tension that made the shows interesting really dented their appeal.

I was addicted to Days of our Lives and although soap operas regularly test the limit of reality situation, someone coming back from the dead, for example, I totally lost it when Marlena got possessed by evil spirit back in the nineties.
