how to find whether my computer has internal modem or not

Right click My Computer. Click Properties, Click Hardware, Click Device Manager. Look for Modems (it's in alphabetical order.) You'll see whether or not you have one.

U can find by looking behind the PC if there is a Jack (RJ11) for phone line u have it. If u wont find then u can confirm it by looking in device manager (Right click on My Computer, Click on properties, click on Hardware & go to Device Manager) here u can see the list if any modem in there. some time it shows Parallel cable in modem which in not a modem indeed.

The easiest way is to look for a telephone jack on the computer. If it's a desktop computer, then it's on the back of the computer somewhere. If it's a laptop, then then the telephone jack is on either side or the back.

If there's no telephone jack, then there's no modem.

r-click my computer, click properties, click the hardware tab, click device manager, if you have it, it will be listed.
that is how it works on my XP anyway.
