IF YOUR DVD PLAYER HAS SOME TYPE OF INPUT JACKS,RADIO SHACK OR ANY WELL STOCKED ELECTRONICS STORE SHOULD HAVE THE CABLES YOU NEED. JUST REMEMBER TO TAKE YOUR DVD PLAYER WITH YOU,IF POSSIBLE,OR AT LEAST THE MAKE AND ALL THE UNIT INFORMATION.THEY SHOULD GET YOU UP N RUNNING IN NO TIME.

if the portable has a audio/video imput, you could use the red white yellow cables (rca, they're reffered to sometimes) that prob came with it, or find some for it.
