It sounds as if you are very nervous and at some point you should look to get control of that. You need to increase your self esteem as I am sure that you have qualities to offer. Assistant work of some sort will be of the least strain, but you cannot expect to be paid and then be slacking off for whatever reason. Hospital, cleaners,Trolley collector for a supermarket. Cleaning in a maccers. Some smaller shops would like a part timer to do stuff other than serve in the shop ;like preparing veges and bagging etc. Even woolies or coles may look at that.Get the local paper and look at the shops advertising. Then don't be afraid to go and say 'look I'm not much good at stuff with the public, but do you have any other things I can do. OK you'll get a lot of NO's but somewhere theer is a YES.

If you need the experience, but not the money I would suggest volunteer work. It looks good on the college application and is good on the job one too. You will gain a lot more valuable experience and contacts then fast food. I would not allow my children to waste time working fast food.
If you are needing money you could self employee as a tutor. Think past the obvious (younger kids), you could tutor working adults on computers. If you are bi-lingual there is a great demand for translators in the retail. Contact some real estate agents, they would love to have flyer's done up.
Another self employ that I have paid teens for is pet sitting and yard clean up (too many leaves this time of year!).
Most retail stores can hire you for sales as well, the hours you are available are in great demand right now, and most adults can't work evenings.

Fast food is an excellent way to learn about money and business.
There are all sorts of stuff. Try HotJobs.com or Midgetboard or whatever they call it.

dear daughter,
first of all, are you schooling? a salutation that you are an independent one daughter who wanting to assist your parents and to train yourself into learn how to work and to earn monies.
Work at fast food is not poor and this is as a first step for you to train yourself to work.
Suppose you need to find out another temporarily job as part-timer, you could find it out through your colleagues or friends because if you try to get a job through other legal advertisements that the employers is strictly allowable to work due to you are underage. I believe they would be aware for the law of workers or ILO statements.

Depending on where you live depends on what's available to you. Most employers will work around your school schedule. There are telemarketing jobs, data entry jobs, grocery store jobs (probably be a sacker to start off with, but hey, it would be a job)...lots of jobs available to you. You only need to look.
