Ortho has a very good ivy killer ,check there web site. It can be bought at most garden centers, ACO, Lowe's, Home depot ,etc. go to ortho.com/index.cfm/event/ProductGuide.category/category// Type ivy into search box.

depending on your climate, spray roundup on leaves & stems. If you are able to purchase in concentrate form, mix it about 5 x's the rate it recommends to kill grass. However it works best at temps above 80 degrees. If you live up north, it should die in the winter anyway and you could kill in the spring. Also, in organic section of most garden centers they sell an herbicidal vinegar that will sometimes work in cooler temps.

nancy and mastermind know their stuff, cut some stems and spray with roundup. It travels back to the roots and kills them, it takes about two weeks.

If it has any roots on your side of the fence, chop them up. Otherwise, chop off the branches that are on your side.

Fire works well. Then pull the roots up and burn them seperately.
