Go to a music store and ask here you could take singing lesson's.This enable's you to learn to sing in different keys, and find what range you are able to hit.Singing with a piano of other instrument also helps you become more accurate of a singer.Practice makes perfect you can only get better.Do not take no for a answer and never give up and you will become a great singer. There are some people out there that say if you cant sing now you probably never will.I do not beleive this i see your voice is just like a instrument it takes training and practice.Go for it and dont give up Good luck

You first need to learn some habits. Singing is much easier when standing, so stop singing when sitting down, hunched over or anything. The biggest thing is knowing 100% exactly what you sound like, so record yourself and compare until you can always hit every note correctly. The next step is working with a band, or, taking up basics on guitar to work as backing chords (singing and guitar can sound a lot better done by one person than 2, and it's really easy with a bit of practice).

Singing for Dummies really helped me, as embarassing as that sounds. The exercises on audio were idiotic, but a lot of the scales and suggestions in it were useful.

Keep practicing and never give up on your dreams. Take lessons, if you can afford them...... Look at the singers you admire and see what they have (usually they're good in not only singing, but dancing, acting and modeling). Keep practicing and sing whenever there is an opportunity (chorus, church, talent shows, school musicals, etc.)

First, it's good to have some experience. You should start off with small things, like school musicals. Then, if you succeed with that, you should consider auditioning for American Idol. If you make it, there's no doubt that you'll achieve your goal of becoming a dreamer, whether you win or lose.

Good luck:)
