sounds like you have an infection for sure. if your totally not willling to see a doctor and you should . then this is what i would do . one go to pharmacy and talk to pharmacist ask for some cough med otc that will break up the phelm. next for your ears.
there are ear drops/ eye drops that treat ear infections. i wont tell you the name but the pharmacy will know what i am talking about.
next you may use a decongestent pill or spray for your nose.
that is something that clears up the gunk in your sinus passages.
dont drink milk drink hot fuilds like tea. without the milk.
give it a night or so doing this and then if your still having pain when you cough or sneeze go back to pharm. and get some sinus med otc that also has a pain reliver in it . or you could ask for a separtate pain med that does not need a docs note that is what otc means over the counter . in the store where you pick it out yourself.
keep track of the thickness of the phelm and the colour of the phelm if its not clear but is instead very yellowish then you for sure have an infection the thicker it is the worse it is the more colour the worse it is .
when its clear thats better.
so there you have it that is how to manage this without going to the doc. but i am not saying dont go to the doc and i am not telling you any med to get just the kind of med i might get myself if i had what you have and i could not go to a doctor for some reason .
as far as the flu shot you cant have that while your sick so leave it for a time. but everyone should get a flu shot and dont be a baby the needle cant be any smaller then the one for a flu shot so toughen up and get the shot when this illness has passed.
take care. rest try to sleep sitting up really sitting up in a chair is best if not then with lots of pillows holding you up in bed .
good night.

Sweetie, you need to turn your check spell on and read it to learn how to spell. For the flu. It will run it's course. From 10 to 14 days usually if it is the flu. A cold can last a good week or more too. So just drink lots of liquids, juice, teas (decaf) and water. Eat chicken soup, broth is really good , it's called the Jewish mom's penicillin for a reason and take Tylenol or Advil, whatever one you usually take and rest. For the ear. If it continues to hurt you can buy sweet oil at the pharmacy and warm it in a bowl of warmer water. Then put two or three drops in the ear that hurts and lie there for at least 10 mins. on your side, so the oil can get down into the inner ear. This should help. If you are coughing buy Robitussin expectorant if you have junk in your chest otherwise just one to stop the cough. Good luck.

Depends how high your tolerance level is and where you're getting the piercing. I've gotten my cartilage pierced and it just felt like a ***** slap to the ear. When I got my earlobes pierced, it didn't hurt as much. It was so fast that I barely felt it. However, I strongly recommend you get your ear pierced with a NEEDLE not a GUN. Needles are much more sterile, hurt less and have an awesome results. Guns have a chance of leaving bumps and scars which aren't too fun to deal with. Although getting a piercing done with a needle is more expensive, it's definitely worth it.

If you have an ear ache then you do need to see the doc to be sure you don't have an ear infection. To get rid of the phlegm buy some over the counter Mucinex aka guiafenisin. See the doc about the ear ache though. Also yahoo Q&A has a spell check feature so consider using it next time you post or answer a question.

Get you some mucinex. It will break all that junk up in your chest. Drink LOTS and LOTS of water, it will help so much for you to drink water. Talk to the pharmacist about what else to take with the Mucinex for the cough and drainage. Hope you feel better real soon.

HOT PAD AND WARM OIL, OLIVE IS OK OR WHATEVER YOU HAVE ON HAND. PUT THE OIL IN YOUR EAR AND THEN SOME COTTON, THEN USE THE HEATING PAD OR HOT WATER BOTTLE FOR YOUR EAR. VIT C WON'T HURT EITHER.
