How much (in dollars) worth of gifts would you give your 13 yr old daughter, gets good grades at a good school, doesn't act out (is very well behaved), but doesn't do much around the house, for the holidays?

I appreciate the ideas, but I'm not looking for ideas, more on how much the total cost of the gifts should be worth.

um it depends on your budget but probably one big gift ($100 or so) and 5-10 little/medium gifts ($10-40)

Ummm that is a hard one actually. I would get her maybe an MP3 player & maybe listening to her music would encourage her to work around the house [I ALWAYS have to have music on while I clean my room etc].
You could get her some clothes or maybe a Nintendo DS or something like that.
But, nothing big like a cell phone or anything. Unless it is one of those cell phones made specifically for kids.
13 is too young for a cell phone.

My (Little one) is 13 going on 21!
I am (personally) looking at $50.00 - $100.00 or so! Don't make a lot on this end and cannot afford much!
She is an excellent student but I only have so much!

I am always surprised at questions like this. I guess I wonder why money to begin with if she is your child. Go out and buy her something.. she is still a child. if you want to just give her money... go to a few of her favorite stores and buy $25 gift cards. But please buy her a gift so she knows you thought of her.

i think u should spend $40.00 and under on her.she is a good child,and doesn't act up.but u can try 2 give her like 2 chores a day if she doesn't help around the house.1 of them can b her room(of course)

Horseback riding lessons, movie theater gift certificate, hot air balloon ride for her and a friend or two, mall gift certificate...
Just focus on what she's into and go with it....

well buy her a cell phone if she is 13 and doesn't have a cell phone she needs one ( i got one at 8) and i loved it , never got in trouble , because if i got in trouble mom would take it away
it works perfectly as a punishing tool 2

It gift always depends on them. You can try to talk to her which is a pretty good way, but you can also suprise her with a good one :)
