In Glendale,CA who is in charge/Group of people that gives out the consent of a pending lawsuit against the Against the Police. Is there one person or is it a committee that decides the amount compromised with the victims of Police brutality. Where the case is being handled in Federeal Court. The thing is Glendale,CA is a un-coperated city and I beilieve that there are different rules and regulation. Can I get more info?

are you talking about who decides whether a police department should pay out on a claim or whether a lawsuit should be filed or whether the police did something wrong.

When a lawsuit is certified as a class action in California, the court will appoint a "class representative" to act as the lead plaintiff. The class representatives are supposed to act in the best interests of the class. If they reach a settlement, it must be approved by the court. Class members has the option of opting out of the settlement. You need to go to the court to see who is the class representative and who their attorney is.
