Do some people give thumbs up ratings to their friends and thumbs down to people they don't like?

I give thumbs up to answers I like; I give thumbs down only if a question or answer is really offensive (i.e. using vulgar language, racist comments/remarks, etc.) I never give a thumbs down if I don't agree with an answer. I know that we are all entitled to our opinions and I'm not gonna knock somebody down just because their opinion is different from mine.

i give thumbs up when i see the answers are fair or normal. and thumbs down when it is not. but i try not to give to much thumbs down.

I suppose some might. I don't. I don't thumbs down ANYONE as long as I can read the question without barfing.

sometimes, but i usually am friends with them if i think they give good answsers, or questions, otherwise why would i like them through answers in the first place
