How do you get the peeps to claim down?

To change their mood you have to select the right response to each interaction. This would be based on their behavior - For example, if the other Sim cries, you would 'consol' them. It takes a couple tries to figure out to correct response to each physical action but they are always the same through the game - Crying would always have the same correct response, for example.
I haven't played my game for a while so I don't remember which is which but it shouldn't be that hard to figure out if you play around with it. If you need to know how to return your own Sims's sanity, have them go to the bathroom, eat or sleep.
