mild bleach water will kill the mold, there are also cleaners sold by Walmart, but it will come back, because of the moisture staying behind, I think your grout sealer has failed and water is soaking in and through th grout. reapply the sealer and see if your problem stays away.

I doubt if this will hurt the travertine, I use it regularly on all my shower walls in two states, both inclined to mildew and mold regardless of how tidy a house keeper I am!
One is, there is a product called SnoBol I think it is spelled, it is a toilet bowl disinfectant, and K-Mart used to sell it. It is a fairly old product. When you put it carefully with the little spout right on the groutline, it will bubble up a lot, and a tad of the grout will come away in a whitish, streak--but the stain comes away as well. It has a super strong smell, but rinse it and yourself thoroughly then let it air dry. Make it snappy and don't breathe the smelly air.
The second is dramatic, but so worth it to me!
I bought a garden sprayer tank like the Orkin man used...plunges down to create a vacc so the sprayer will have some force....and I put 80/20 Straight CLOROX and cool water. I take it to the showers, open up the window, and saturate the entire wall and floor and nooks and crannies of the showers then leave for a few hours or go work in the yard--just let it soak, then rinse well upon returning, and it looks like brand spanking new! Fresh! White! Clean! Mildew Gone! Rinse out sprayer nozzle well so it won't turn with the Bleach on it/in it.
Be careful to wear old we-don't -care-what-happens-to-this-shirt clothes, because Bleach will BLEACH nearly EVERYTHING... and keep kids out of the area, that goes without saying, but I AM saying it!!!
Good Luck!

Keep a spray bottle of 1/2 bleach, 1/2 water solution in your shower. Spray the problem area well while shower is dry and them spray it off after a few minutes. After that, spray it lightly each time you get out of the shower, while the shower is still wet. This should eliminate the existing mold and keep new mold away. CAREFUL...bleach is slippery.

Try a little hydrogen peroxide.
Or maybe some baking soda.
Test on a small area first.

I use tilex for that reason and it didn't harm my tub or shower. Bleach should do it also. Either one, make sure your room is well vented.
