I think what they find is real. I don't think they'd want to ruin the reputation they've worked so hard to build up. They want to be known as legitimate paranormal investigators. I'm pretty sure Jason and Grant would be pretty mad if they found out someone was trying to hoax them.

Ghosts exist. You just dismiss it as something that has never happened to you, and therefore dismiss it as well a folklore of the times. I would chase ghosts too, but it takes too much time to perform an exorcism.
