Why the hell can't I download Itunes on my computer?

I don't have the cd-rom, go to sight and download, but nothing happens. Won't ask hot nerd friend, cause I bug him too much. Someone please help!

check the system requirements on the software to see if it's compatible with your operating system

or

download an archive version (older version - like itunes version 6)
