It is called the Inheritance trilogy. And to answer your question, it depends which one you are talking about. The first book is called Eragon, the second is called Eldest, and the third, which has not yet been released, is called Inheritance.

ummmm.....ERAGON. That's the first one. Eldest is the second book. The third book has not been released or named yet, as far as I know.
