you can try breaking the problem up into pieces:
32/4 = 8 (these are just the coefficients)
y^16/y^4 = y^12 (remember you subtract exponents if the bases are the same and being divided)
so your final answer is:
8y^12

there really are no steps!
hope this helps!

32y^16/4y^4 = 8y^12
Is very easy: Divide numeric coefficients first, than literal parts.
32/4 = 8
y^16/y^4 = y^(16 - 4) = y^12

32y^16/4y^4
so here u will use the law of exponent when you divide powers you subract them and when you multiply power you add them.
so lets do this question in parts
firstly
as i said subract divided terms with powers is the same as subractiing the power so for this question you basically subract y^16-y^4 and you get Y^12(16-4)
so now you y^4 in the denominator is gone and you are left with
Y^12 which gives you 32y^12/4
secondly,
simplify the 32 and 4 and you get 8y^12

32y^16 = 4*8 y ^16

break it down like above.

((4*8y)^4*4 = (4y^16) *(8^16)

(4y^4*4) *(8^16) / 4y^4
(4y^4)*(8^16)
