All objects that you can see absorb some light. Black objects absorb all light while color objects absorb all but that spectrum of light. Something white absorbs very little light. If something absorbs no light, you will not be able to see it because no light is reflected back to your eye.

Yes, it would be black. The colour of object depends on what wavelengths of light are absorbed and which are reflected back by an object essentially. So if all wavelengths of light are absorbed then it appears black, and if everything is reflected then it appears white. Every other colour we see depends again on the wavelength that is reflected.

Everyting absorbs light, it's a question of what wavelengths are absorbed. A green object absorbes every light wavelength except the ones we have associated with the color green.
