Technically they can, but they wont, of course they wont. They used up more than their fair share of luck 2 seasons ago.
Give em another 20 or so years.

Yes! Why not when we won it last time we were not playing well in the league but went on to win it, beating some of the best teams about,we still have a lot of the players that won it then still at the club, and are cup runs talk for them self! LIVERPOOL,LIVERPOOL.

My opinion is they cannot win.
They have lots of unsettled problem such as the uncertainty the role Gerrard should play, the increasing number of injuries, and they have problems winning away from home ground. Unless, they can make tremendous improvement, the outlook for them to win the CL champions is quite pessimistic.

Unless away form improves dramatically, they have no chance.
and when they won C.L. 2 years ago, it was the introduction of Didi Hamann which changed the game. Momo Sissoko would have performed a similar role, but without him, this restricts Gerrard, hence rendering Liverpool a far less potent side.

Possibly, they do seem to be more suited to European football, but i feel the whole team is lacking in a bit of confidence at the moment and that includes Gerrard and when your top players are lacking confidence it spreads through the team.
I think a few wins in the league would boost confidence and get their season going and that would definitely serve them well in Europe because when you go away to some of these teams you can't afford to be lacking in any area especially confidence.

They, frustratingly enough have a better CL record at the moment. Luck doesn't have anything to do with it! Benitex play a style that is suitesd to beating European opponents. I think they will get close. The draw will really be a factoe. 10 to 1 we will draw chelski.

no..they are simply not good enough..they have qualified for the knockout stage from a group that was ridiculously easy...as a team they seem to be going backwards rather than 4ward...the same as under houllier in my opinion....lyon, chelsea or inter i see as the winners this season..........
