The pregnant woman should discuss this with her OB/GYN, not a bunch of Internet strangers. Have her call the Dr's office and leave a message. This way her particular case and her particular issues will be known when they give her an answer.

Yeah, salt can cause swelling. Try the cambell's soup with reduced sodium! This should be safe!

I applaud you for looking out for your woman. I would say yes unless she is on a strict low sodium diet. The low sodium kind would probably be a better choice. You may want to look into the healthier brands like "Healthy Choice" "Progresso" I cant think of any other brands at this moment. You could also make her some from scratch, its not that hard. Hope this helps you.

True, a pregnant woman shouldn't consume too much salt in her daily diet. Whether a bowl of campbell's soup contains too much salt, I don't know. When I was pregnant I couldn't eat anything that wasn't home cooked by me or my mom. I would have puked before I even got close to campbell's soup. Someone tried to give me ramen noodles one day...which I usually love...but not that day!

Yes its perfectly fine. But dont ever over do anything with too much sodium in it because it can cause swelling, but a few cans arent going to hurt anything. I eat campbells soup and Ramen Noodle Soup(which is worse) and I havent swelled up yet. Just eat it in moderation.

Of course! Why not? But she might want to cut down on acid for awhile, so set aside the tomato soup till you know it's ok. Asparagus soup is nourishing. Cream of mushroom soup helps calm the stomach.

She could eat it, but she needs to watch how much and how often. The better thing for her to do is eat the low sodium kind. Consuming too much salt will cause her to retain more water.

I ate it. I think salt is only an issue if you go to swelling a lot. Towards the end of my pregnancy I started to swell a lot and my doc said lay off the salt.

She can eat the soup, however the high levels of sodium might make it not such a great choice.....try having some homemade soup instead....much healthier and tastier.
