I am 15 years old and I want to have a small animal that I can interact with. lizard?hamster?I already have tropical fish but want somethin to be able to handle.

A rat!!! They are highly intelligent, easy to train, LOVE people, rarely bite, easy to care for, inexpensive to buy and feed. The only bad thing is that they only live about 3 years. There are so many colors and kinds to choose from too!

I'd recommend a rat. They get bad press and its all completely unwarranted. They are very sociable animals and they love your company. Unlike most other rodents, they are not solitary animals. They are extremely smart, very very clean and although its hard to believe really loving wee things.
I think the best pets are the ones that can love you back and rats do this. They adopt you as family and they get just as pleased to see you as a little puppy dog does. Mine likes nothing more than getting a wee cuddle and snuggling up beside me. A few years ago I'd have been the last person anyone could imagine having a rat, now I cant imagine not having one.
Granted they dont live long but the time you have with your new wee rat will be wonderful, I guarantee that you wont be disappointed if you can persuade your parent/guardian or whatever to let you have one. Also remember that buyin yourself a wee rat saves it from being snakefood, you'd be saving its neck and thats always a good thing.
GO ON, get a rat!!!

a chinchilla! We have one and got him 3 years ago and he is sooooo awesome! His name is Gizmo but we call him Gizzy! We have 2 little dogs and Gizzy loves playing with them! They jump and hop around all over and love people! They do need about an hour a day out of their cage to run around for exercise and they need a large cage! Gizzy is litter trained so he has full run of the house 24 hrs a day! I wouldnt trade my little gizzy for the world!

Teddybear hamsters are very cute and fun as a pet. a Guinea pig is also a nice small pet.

Rats and Rabbits are great. Rabbits can live as long as dog with good care. Rats are have very high accurances of cancer, plus they only live about 4 years. Buts rats are very affectionate, so are bunnys.

A hamster, A mouse, maybe a cat, possibly a small dog like a chihuahua or a shitzu ,Bichon, Pomeranian you know all those small dogs.

When I was a teen I had a pet Guinea Pig Rusty. He was copper and white and he was the BEST pet. he always wanted to sit in my lap and loved snuggling with me before bed. I still miss him.

Rats. They are the smartest of all rodents and are very friendly. You can hold them, play with them, and even teach them to do tricks. I have had lots of of success with training rats to come to their name. Yahoo "pet rat information" for some more on rats.
