There are two ways to fix scratches on dvds, cds, etc. One is to take them to a game store where for about $4 each, they will polish it on a very expensive machine.
If you want to do it yourself, it can be done with a little work, just don't buy those cd or dvd doctors, they don't work so hot.
What you do is go to a autozone or other automotive parts place and pick up some mcguire's polish. get a pure cotton buffing wheel, hook it up to a drill and put a little mcguire's on the disk and buff it in with the cotton wheel. it will take out the scratches.

If the scratch isn't too deep, you can buy a little device that fixes minor scratches. I think I got mine for about $10 at Walmart a couple years ago.

Brasso metal polish works great for that. However lots of times scratches deep enough to make a dvd skip are too deep to fix. good luck!

the easy way is to put toothpaste on it. seriously, just put toothpaste over it and rub it on really well and then clean it off with a damp washcloth. somehow it fills in the scrath as long as it isnt a really bad one.
