You could give her something like that, or a ring with three stones, past present and future, one with your birthstone and one with hers and the other can be a diamond which means forever. giving her a locket with a picture of yous in it would be a nice gift as well. Give her a letter to go with it telling her how you feel and a nice card. Do it so her mother doesnt see it and than her mother wont get mad.

If you believe in your heart that she will not mind receiving a gift from you, give it and don't mind what her mother says. women loves flower, wallet, diary books, ring, neclace, perfume or chocolate etc. but better give some gift that can use for present. such as perfume or wallet. coz everytime she use the thing that u give for her in christmast eve, she will remember that theres someone who still loving and waiting for her.

Yeah, go ahead and give her something. Technically...u2 never really broke up on your own terms, so it doesn't mean that you still don't like each other. Just let her know that she's still appreciated and this may give her hope that something can still happen between you two in the future. :D

make her a photo album with photos of you on different occasions with little notes saying things like this was me hanging out by the beach thinking about the time we rolled around in the sand together she will love it.
