What DSL Modem I can you for Bellsouth DSL Ultra internet ?

I have subscribed for Bellsouth DSL Ultra 1.5 mb fast internet connection. What kind of modem do I need, with what specifications. I don't want to buy one from Bellsouth for $ 75.
Please tell me also your recommendations and specific modem that should work on this connection.
