While the relationship between UK and USA at government level remains good, public opinion here in UK has become very anti-American, especially due to the Iraq war, which is described here as an illegal war. Anti-American feeling has always been a problem in UK and it goes back a very long way indeed. In my childhood during World War II the then anti-American slogan was "over paid, over sexed and over here." Towards the end of WW2 it got even worse with slogans painted on walls proclaiming, "Yanks go home"! The problem is that far too few people seem able to separate government from people. It's not the American people I dislike, it's the Bush dynasty - Americans are supposed to have a Constitutional Republic - time to reignite the Revolution I think.

I remember taking a Photo of some graffiti on a wall in Greece in 1976 that said Americans take your drugs and go home.
It was never that bad here then but G.W.Bush saw that everybody joined in with the anti American feeling. I'm afraid that our prime minister thought that he would get an easy ride tagging along as Bush's poodle (sorry to the lovely poodle's put there )
but this backfired and now he is fired. Not soon enough for me.

Well it didn't work out for Blair giving support for Bush. Blair own party have decided to drop his as leader of the labour party in the UK. The reason is they said that Blair shouldn't have supported Bush. The press in the UK are saying where your so called friend Bush now prime minister?

It's all relative - we've got Blair and are bloody glad to be getting rid of him next year. So we aren't worrying too much about Bush - we've got our own problems with this insincere prat who's giving us a bad reputation.

Here in England I know of nobody who has a positive impression of Bush. Nobody.

He gives the impression of being a buffoon, but not an amiable one.

Whyen he was Governor of Texas I was with Amnesty International, sending in appeals for prisoners on death row (of which there are a lot in Texas). No replies, no reprieves...

Me - on the other hand, Blair isn't all that fantastic, either, but I bet you Americans would rather swap Bush for Blair any day.
