i am currently bidding on ebay for a watch and it states in the description that the movement is ASIAN, caliber 272 what is that? please help the bid is almost over

it means the second hand on the watch jerks forward; it kind of stops at every second mark for a portion of a second. this is opposed to Swiss movement, like a rolex has, where the second hand is adjusted to sweep through the movement without ever stopping or pausing.
