If you don't try, you'll always be wondering if it would have been a good thing. I had to make that decision a long time ago. I decided to start a business. I was young enough to start over if I had to. I didn't have to. I'm so glad I did it. Just make sure you do something that you have a passion for, and get some good advice from others in business. Have a plan, and stick to it.

I started my own business last year as a graphic designer. Unfortunately one of my predictions was that the market would become flooded with people like me and it has. I'm not doing so well now, and to be honest I'd quite like to go back to the security of a job. Living out your dreams is fine if they come true, but we have to get by in life. Having a job isn't slavery, the analogy isn't even close, and running your own business doesn't mean freedom, it simply means you're in charge now, and with that comes a whole new world of responsibilities and people to answer to.

There is no yes or no answer that covers everybody. A person should always be moving forward. Some people needs are better met with a job some are better met with taking a chance or owning your own business.
Is it better to be rich? Yes. Should one always do research and take in consideration their responsibilities to their families? Absolutely.

Best to be free. Because there is no comfort in any job that pays only a limited amount. That is like being a slave and who cares if you are still a slave whether you get paid $6.75 per hour or $50 per hour. I would do what I am passionate about and go from there because that's what makes me happiest.
