Christmas is the Christian celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, who Christians believe is the son of God. Christmas is no longer limited to just Christians and many now celebrate the holiday for tradition, good spirits and gift-giving. Christmas is a globally celebrated holiday (not limited to the United States) and is certainly celebrated in Canada as well.

only if we can manage to stop playing hockey. Sometimes the christmas lights go out because they get so hot that the igloos start to melt and the water drips on the electrical outlet and it eventually goes out. obviously we celebrate christmas and i'm sure you know that, you're just asking this question to be funny. we celebrate it the same as you do in the states. have a good one

Celebrating Christmas is not a geographical celebration. CHRIST MAS . Its the celebration of the birth of Christ. If you are a christian it doesn't matter what country you live in, so long as that country isn't one that hates Christians. Remember if you take CHRIST out of Christmas
with X it is no longer Christmas.

My husband is french canadian and from a very catholic family. yes, Christ was born on Christmas Day and they do. Now, maybe some who aren't Christian, Catholic or who worship another god or no god just as anyplace on earth, may not celebrate anything. it's not the country but the people usually unless it is a country like Korea where they are forced to worship their dictator. That's different, they have no choice. Thank God we are in the USA and have the right to choose.
